Product code: 82911001
Shoot detailed stills and frames, up close and from afar, with the Sony a6500 E-mount APS-C Camera. Its autofocus gives unprecedented accuracy which can track your subject and even spring into action when enlarging a selected image area on the view finder. The 5-axis image stabilization will provide a steady hand even on the most treacherous of land. And with wireless connectivity built-in, you can share your favourite snaps of the day with friends and family.
Boasting an APS-C image sensor with 24.2 effective megapixels plus thin wiring layer and large photodiode substrate for light collection efficiency, the a6500 will capture your favourite moments with super sharp clarity. It even has a BIONZ X™ image processing engine so the image sensor achieves a wide sensitivity range of ISO 100-512002 with low noise. Its quick-transmission copper wiring layer helps to shoot movies in 4K and Full HD at 120fps (100fps3) too.
The α6500 focuses accurately, efficiently and reliably on subjects throughout the frame thanks to its 425 focal plane phase-detection. High-density Tracking AF Technology seamlessly activates AF points to cover and track subjects moving within frame with unerring precision. And with an AF speed of 0.05 seconds, the camera conducts itself impressively fast which gives an accurate AF and tracking performance when shooting movies or stills.
Lock-on AF maintains focus on a moving subject automatically. It can even come into play after shooting when enlarging a selected image area on the viewfinder or LCD screen.
Equipped with an in-body 5-axis image stabilization, you'll be able to shoot steadier images and movies. A high-accuracy gyro sensor holds the camera at a steady level which is equivalent to a 5-steps-faster shutter speed. This will enable you to zoom in on faraway subjects, snap detailed close-ups and capture night scenes all with minimum blur.
Record rich data in a 4K resolution with full pixel readout and no pixel binning. This allows for 2.4 times (approximately) more information what is basically required for 4K. In turn, you'll be able to take an exceptionally high resolution snap shot of your recording and make it into an image.
A high-contrast, high-resolution, high-visibility XGA OLED Tru-Finder™ reproduces darkness and colour in very fine detail. This makes for clear, smooth views of scenes and tracking of subjects.
Wi-Fi & NFC
Go anywhere, share anytime. Simply touch the camera against an NFC-enabled smartphone or tablet to activate apps or share photos or movies - no extra cables, no complicated connections. Use built-in Wi-Fi to upload to social networks or connect to a PC or TV, and Sony’s PlayMemories Apps are available to download to enhance your creativity.
Built to impress
With a tough magnesium alloy body and robust lens mount (compatible with Sony E-Mount lenses), the a6500 delivers solid reliability and steady handling when you are out shooting. Water and dust is also prevented from entering the camera body thanks to sealing around the buttons and dials, as well as a protective double-layered structure that tightly interlocks panels and components.
