Q & As

Kes Round Kitchen Bin, 13L 4.3 5 10 10
Excellent replacement Bought this to replace one that originally came with our Hygena kitchen units. This fitted the bill perfectly. Although the instructions are a bit rudimentary, with a little perseverance and thought installation is trouble free. Recommended. 28 January 2014
Good bin while it lasted Very pleased with the bin in its early years, neat easy to use and fairly robust. However after about six years the plastic fitting at the base of the bin that swings the bin out started to disintegrate. We patched it up with gaffer tape and struggled on. The plastic rim has now completely disintegrated after eight years use. Perhaps we were a bit heavy handed. The rest of the bin is fine. If a replacement base is not available I might try making a wooden one! 06 January 2014
Just the job! A nice undersink waste bin. It replaces a similar one which has lasted 22 years. This was extremely easy to fit. I was happy the instructions were in diagrams as there is no possibility of mis-interpretation, especially when a product is not British made. The templates were accurate (German!). Helpful to have: masking tape to attach the template, an awl to make the initial 'break' in the cupboard surface and then a drill to make the holes, and a screwdriver to drive home the screws - job done. Useful to have someone steadying the door when putting pressure on. Less than one hour from start to finish. (Female pensioner). 15 May 2013
Does it's job This was an extremely fiddlley thing to put together. Fixing the attachments to the cupboard door and inside wall of the cupboard was very difficult as the instructions were only in pictures - no words and the pictures were not at all clear. After 3 hours (!) we managed it and is now working ok. 04 January 2013
So neat I needed a fitted bin to finish off our new kitchen and this is exactly what I wanted. It fits well, is sturdy and does not take up too much room under the kitchen sink. 31 December 2012
Hard to find, so very pleased This fitted my cupboard perfectly. Bin metal is a little thin, but otherwise it works well 05 September 2012
I cant live without this! I ordered a second bin for the simple reason that an episode of extreme clumsiness caused the lid closing device to break. I hasten to add that the mechanism was not fragile, Not to have the bin lid opening automatically when opening the under sink door proved to be too much for my patience when doing the kitchen chores so I was happy to restore equilibrium by aquiring a new one. 25 April 2012
Well made product so worth the extra This is a sturdy item with a neat and sensible lid lifting mechanism. It goes into a height that is little more than the bin itself which is helpful and the construction is of good quality metal parts and quality screws etc.. The simple lid lifting mechanism lifts the lid just enough and no more - neat. While I agree with another reviewer that the instructions lacked wording, the actual graphics were clear and with care it was easy to drill holes exactly where needed after a little study. It forced you to think first, which is probably a good thing before you rush into drilling holes in your kitchen cabinets. 25 February 2012
