If you're planning any home project from a complete redesign to a seasonal update of one room, you can book an appointment to call on the expertise of our Home design advisors to help you bring out the very best in your home.
They'll bring a fresh and creative perspective to your design project, working closely with you every step of the way to create something that's both practical and unique, whether it's key ideas for one room, or a whole new interior scheme.
We offer two levels of service; you can book a free in-store appointment, or opt for a more thorough home consultation for £200 (redeemable against made to order or made to measure purchases), which we'd particularly recommend if you're contemplating changes in several rooms.
Appointments for both in-store and at home typically last 90 - 120 minutes, depending on how many rooms in your project. You can book online (below), by phone or in person at any of our shops, except Heathrow, St Pancras International, and Croydon and Ipswich at Homes.
If you're just looking to make some minor changes, or already have a good understanding of what you want, then book a free appointment by phone, in person or online (see below) with an advisor in any John Lewis shop (except Heathrow, St Pancras International, and Croydon and Ipswich at Home shops).
From decision-making to delivery, they'll work with you through the entire process, giving you ideas from our current ranges, and showing you how to co-ordinate colours, furniture and accessories to refresh or restyle, taking into consideration your lifestyle, preferences, and budget.
For more ambitious projects - perhaps you're thinking of redesigning more than one room - or if you just don't know where to start, then we'd recommend an at-home consultation.
This costs £200, refundable against the cost of made-to-order or measure products you buy for your project. Please ask in or call your local John Lewis to book this service (except Croydon and Ipswich at Home shops), or you can also book online (see below).
An advisor will visit your home to get a real feel for the space and a thorough understanding of your lifestyle, preferences, tastes and budget. They'll bring swatches, catalogues and selection of books to help you decide on the look you want.
This initial visit will be followed up by an in-store appointment where your advisor will show you some of the ideas they've put together for your scheme. This allows you to start visualising how your room will look, and you can take a look at and try out furniture like sofas and dining tables.
Once you're happy to proceed with the design, your advisor will help bring the various elements together, such as processing your orders, arranging fitting of items and delivery of others. They'll even make sure that everything has arrived safely and that you're happy with the end result.
