Janome 9200d overlocker This is a fantastic machine!!! At a great price, its simple to use with good instructions for the threading. I did not know anything about overlocker when i bought this but the DVD is excellent amd gives you all the help that you need. The overlocker gives a possfessional finish to clothing and easy to use. It compliments my jamone sewing machine greatly. 15 April 2013

Makes me feel like a pro! I have limited machine experience and this is my first overlocker. This machine makes me feel like a pro as it is so easy to use. I even found it simple to thread with the helpful colour coding on the machine (I did need the tweezers that are provided) not like the nightmare I was dreading. The instruction manual is comprehensive and very detailed with step by step guides which are handy for a novice like me. This machine is a quality product at a good price. I would recommend this overlocker to anyone. I really do love it. 30 October 2012

So,so! Having used a Janome My Lock overlocker for the past 10+ years, started getting a few problems so felt the time had come to replace it. Ok this does the job, which of course is the most important thing, but goodness, what a terror it is to thread...... and I'm used to threading an overlocker! Hate not having the little 'dish' to catch the bits as end up with half of them in my lap. I know one gets used to something and we don't like change but thank goodness I didn't start out with one of these. Shall have the trusty My Lock serviced etc., and this will be a spare. I wouldn't recommend this overlocker and feel it is worth spending more to get a machine that is more user friendly. 30 October 2012

Janome 9200D Overlocker Sewing Machine Excellent bit of kit and the low price is not indicative of the quality of the output. I have wanted an overlocker for ages but they were too pricey. I found this one and the reviews seemed good. Well, the machine is every bit as good as the reviews suggest! Simple to use. You can get around the tricky threading as suggested by tying on new thread and pulling through (it comes ready-threaded with white cotton). The DVD is nice and clear. The instruction book is good and both are easy to refer back to. But the bit I like best is that you can just "plug and play" right from unpacking it and get professional looking results 10 September 2012

Very happy customer It’s brilliant! I first used this machine at a sewing class and then decided to buy my own. I read the comments below about being able to tie on new threads and pull them through to avoid a fiddly re-threading process – this works well. Unfortunately the first time I ran out of thread, I didn’t notice until it was too late so had to re-thread from scratch – it took a few tries but I managed it in the end. The machine itself has colour coded hooks and loops to help make threading process easier, it would have been clearer if the user manual had also been in colour though. I've been re-upholstering a sofa with a medium weight fabric that frays easily, this has been more than up to the job and has given me a professional finish that should help the covers last. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this overlocker. 23 July 2012

Don't overlook this overlocker A really good compliment to my sewing machine (also a Janome). I am very pleased with the neat and professional looking finish I am now achieving. It is ideal for the amateur dressmaker who wants to achieve a perfect finish to seams. The accompanying DVD has proved to be a really useful guide. I was delighted to discover that it arrived ready threaded and that re threading with another colour can be achieved by tying in the replacement threads and pulling them through. I feel this machine is good value for money. 04 June 2012
