  • About John Lewis Stratford City

John Lewis Stratford City opened on 13 September 2011 - our first shop to open in London in 20 years. It has 4 floors of selling space, plus a 32,000 square foot Waitrose in the basement.

The unique glazed facade showcases a circular ceramic pattern, designed to symbolise the circle of regeneration in Stratford enabled by the Westfield development and partners working towards London 2012 and its legacy.

Join us for Story Time

Storytelling is one of the first things that a parent will share with their child, and it’s something many of us take for granted. However, for the parents of some of the UK’s most vulnerable children, the first years of their child’s life can be a bewildering time. Growing up, they may not have had the experience of being read to by their own parents.

That’s why we want to use the power of storytelling in our shops and in schools to raise money to help Barnardo’s support those UK children who need it most.

Our storytelling sessions will take place on the following dates:

- 21, 22 June

- 26, 27 July

- 2, 3 August

- 9,10 August

- 16,17 August

- 23,24 August

- 30,31 August

Guest reader

We delighted that Dee Anderson, singer, actress and director, will read the first story on 21 June - a great way to launch our Story Time sessions.

Please visit our story time page for more information.
