John Lewis Bold Blanket Mat, Multi
Could be better
Like Betty91, we have a very wiggly edges, although one side is very bad; the other three are acceptable. I've found it to be quite soft in one direction, and very coarse in the other which I don't like. The biggest problem we've had is the lightest shade is almost white, dependent on the time of day, which is very jarring against the other, more earthy, warm tones. Because of the wiggly side and the jarring 'white', we shall be returning the rug.

Grand looking mat
This mat fits beautifully with the colours of our lounge. It is soft to walk on with bare feet and easy to hoover lightly.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY
This rug is very pretty but not great quality. I kept it because the colours were exactly what I needed but the finish of the rug is very poor. The edges are very uneven and the material is very course - you wouldn't want to sit on it. It is definitely overpriced for what it is.

Received my rug today - and it's just gorgeous. My decor is uncannily similar to another reviewer's - terracotta sofa, oiled oak floor - and it fits perfectly.
The colours are rich, jewel-like yet subtle, with texture in the shades as well as the fabric.
Despite being 80% jute, it feels quite soft underfoot although it is undoubtedly a bit coarser than other fibres like wool. But the material itself contributes to its beauty, with its opulent silky sheen. I am thrilled with it!

Delighted with this rug
I bought this rug recently for use in our living room, and we are thrilled with it. It is absolutely perfect with its rich, warm colours that complement our terracotta lounge suite and stripped pine flooring. It is thick and looks hard wearing, and does not shed fluff as some new rugs do. The colours are slightly more muted than in the photo but we have no complaints. I am on the verge of ordering a second one for a different room, as the colours lend themselves to lots of different colour schemes. Well done JL!

Lovely rug, but significant variation in shade
I arranged delivery of the 90x150cm rug to my parents house. In the time it took for me to collect it, they had fallen in love and bought one too! Unfortunately, the second rug was significantly darker. I don't know if we were just unlucky to get two rugs on opposite ends of the shade spectrum.
- The first rug we received was lighter than the picture suggested but the colours in each square were even and regular. The lighter shade is caused by cream fibers in all of the squares, giving it a mossy look. Very rustic and charming.
- Second rug was same shade as rug pictured. Unfortunately there are irregular streaks of brown across each square, but this is especially noticeable on the cream squares. These streaks are brown fibers, not dirt. It has the same 'feel' as artificially streaked shabby chic wooden furniture. A bit too rustic for me!

Rustic rug with a soft touch
This lovely rug has a real hand made feel with a much nicer soft feel under foot than expected.
The colours are earthy and warm, but not as bright as the picture, and go
nicely with the newly laid rustic oak floor in the study/bedroom.
Ours is the smallest size 150cmx90cm, with the pattern of 23cm squares looking larger when the rug is laid on the floor than expected from the picture.
Overall, though quite expensive, we are very pleased with this rug.

Beautiful rustic rug, is as pictured but colours prob not just as vivid. Lovely earthy tones go with the colour scheme in our living room. Bought it for our baby daughter to play on and it is good quality and soft enough to put her play mat on as the floor is tiled! Is quite dear but good quality and is exactly what I was looking for so very happy with it. Great, prompt delivery too.
