How do electric cookers work?
An electric cooker is a kitchen appliance that uses electricity to heat and prepare meals. Four stoves and one or two ovens are its typical features. Electric cookers use either an induction or ceramic hob to heat pans placed on the surface. A hob is heated by an electrical coil which is incorporated into the hob itself. Heating elements can be placed under glass hobs to provide an even level of heat, whilst induction hobs utilise magnetic fields to create an energy supply which heats up when you place a pan on top.
