Clever camera
Portal's smart camera can automatically pan (following you if you move) and zoom (if someone else enters the shot, the camera will widen to make sure they’re visible) to ensure the viewer sees all the fun.

Smart sound helps to enhance the voice of whoever's talking, by minimising any background noises.

All aboard
No one likes being left behind. Portal makes calls using WhatsApp and Messenger apps. This is handy as even if your friends and family don’t have a Portal smart device, you can still have video calls with them easily on their smart phone or tablet.

Private times
Easily turn the camera and microphone off with a single tap, or with a sliding switch. A red light indicates when they’re switched off.

Ask Alexa and more
With Alexa Built-in, you can ask a question, set a timer, add items to your shopping list, control your smart home and more (other smart devices are sold separately). With additional account activations, you can watch films and shows from a growing list of partners, including Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, and enjoy music videos, news, games and more from services including Spotify and Deezer (subscriptions may apply). With Facebook Watch, you can watch a show with friends as if you're in the same room together.

Enhance with AR
Experience even more together with the ever-growing AR experiences library on Portal. Become some of your children's favourite storybook characters with Story Time, where well-loved tales come to life with music, animation and immersive effects. Display your Instagram and Facebook photos directly to your Portal with the mobile app. You can even share photos during calls.
