Danish designer Erik Magnussen is known for his tableware and furniture collections. His series for Royal Selangor includes barware items with pewter highlights but otherwise minimal decoration, relying purely on fine detailing to make them beautiful. This wine funnel has four small openings at its spout to aerate the wine and stimulate the aromas as it's poured. It also includes a sieve to separate the wine from any sediment.
Pewter is almost maintenance-free as it does not react with the air to oxidise or tarnish. It can attract dust and dirt, but all that is required is an occasional wipe with a damp cloth. Over time and with use, pewter develops a pleasing and subdued patina unique to the metal which is part of the beauty of investing in this material.

As an early forerunner to the company’s ongoing commitment to meeting the changing needs of the consumer he later developed cigarette boxes, tankards and tea services for British military personnel residing in Malaya at that time.
