A homage to the scientific name for Silver Bells, a species of flowering plant, Halesia is a rechargeable table lamp designed to be operated through a sequence of intuitive gestures. It's made out of two identical bell-shaped forms stacked on top of one another. The top bell is used as a rotational switch and dimmer. The lamp is rechargeable with the included USB-C cable.
The Halesia table lamp is born from Alessi's partnership with Michael Anastassiades' eponymous lighting brand. The two steel bells, placed one over the other, conceal the light source and diffuse the ring of graded light in the immediate vicinity. An object that embodies a subtle poetic meaning in a sophisticated metallic shell, it's an iconic synthesis of Alessi's applied art practices.
