The powerful mid-range Canon Speedlite 470EX-AI is a versatile flash for amateur and professional photographers. It takes the fuss out of flash photography so you can pull off professionally lit images quickly. Thanks to a motorised bounce and swivel head that automatically adjusts itself to ensure the correct angle, natural and flattering lighting is assured. A lighting reach guide number of 47 ensures illumination far and wide, and it can be operated remotely with compatible cameras.

Auto AI bounce function
The motorised flash head adjusts automatically, to ensure the bounce angle is always correct for naturally and professionally lit images.

Natural lighting
Despite a compact weight of 385g, its impressive guide number of 47 (ISO100) delivers a potent brightness that’s ideal for large groups and bouncing light off walls for natural illumination. At 13.04cm long, it’s perfectly portable, and is powered by 4 x AA batteries.

Remote firing
It can be fired off-camera using optical triggering. Canon EOS cameras with a built-in Integrated Speedlite Transmitter can fire the flash from up to 10m away, without the need for any extra equipment.

LCD display
A Dot Matrix LCD display ensures detailed settings are clearly readable on the rear of the unit.

Light far & wide
Its built-in zoom head aims to match the angle of the flash’s output to the viewing angle of the lens being used, covering a 24-105mm zoom range.
