Woven in Ecuador and made in England, the Bexley Panama is made from a Grade 1/2 woven hood with a fabric inner headband. It has a front-brim down style with a black band.
Despite their name, Panama hats have never been made in Panama, they originate from Ecuador where they have been woven since the mid-1600s. Christys' produces its Panama hat hoods in Ecuador using traditional weaving techniques to craft a rough cone shape. They are then shaped, blocked by hand and finished with a band in the factory in Oxfordshire, England to the highest traditional standards.
