Create the Look - Folklore

Take a trek through the Andes this Christmas with our Peruvian-inspired festive theme. Lima Llama invites you to explore the colours, textiles  and tapestries of Peruvian festivals for a Christmas with a twist

The Look

Lima Llama is a celebration of all that’s bright about Christmas. Multicoloured ornaments, pom-pom garlands and llamas aplenty define the collection, where Christmas takes an unexpected turn that’s sure to put smiles on the faces of your seasonal visitors.

When it comes to colour, think rainbow brights and pearlescent shimmers with the odd multicoloured confetti bauble thrown in for good measure. Lima Llama puts the festival in festive, so be bold with colour and step away from traditional hues and
into the more vivid end of the spectrum.

In keeping with the theme, include crocheted textiles and traditional Peruvian patterns. For something a little different, opt for our felt layered wreath as this year’s quintessential door decoration, and add in the Lima Llama gift sack featuring Father Christmas in Peruvian attire.

The Decorations

You read it here first: tinsel is officially back. Can’t decide which colour? Go for them all with our rainbow stripe tinsel, featuring a carnival of colour that really gets the celebrations going.

Lima Llama stays true to its roots with plenty of decorations inspired by beautiful handicrafts and traditional Peruvian art and textiles. Our tapestry tassel tree decoration features an Aztec-inspired fabric bauble adorned with hanging beads and colourful pom-poms for a real pop of colour on your tree. Continue the theme with
pom-poms aplenty with our jingle tree decoration, featuring a rainbow of fluffy pom-poms and jingle bells for merriment all the way.

If you’re looking for a break from the norm then take the opportunity to have fun with your decorations. Tropical birds take the form of shimmering tree hangers and clip-on decorations, four-legged friends don Christmas hats, and Father Christmas himself swaps reindeer for a llama. It’s a party of colour and fun for all, and every party needs a disco ball – so we’ve got those as well.

The Tree

The Peruvian pine tree is the spruce of choice for the Lima Llama theme. Standing at 7ft with densely-packed branches, it’s the perfect backdrop for those colourful decorations and pom-pom garlands. Finish the look with multicoloured berry lights for a truly colourful Christmas.

Our chocolate-coloured wicker tree skirt completes your tree. A neutral base allows your decorations to captivate with their colours – though to be honest, they don’t need much help with that.

The Table

The Lima Llama table gives a few festive nods to the more traditional elements of the season, but that certainly doesn’t mean it’s toned down. Our snowflake crackers feature a flourish of fine metallic snowflake details, and are finished with green and red ribbons. Or for a musical interlude between courses, our xylophone crackers gift each diner with a single xylophone note so all that’s left to do is gather your ensemble and play those festive hits.

Utilise the Lima Llama take on traditional green for a table cloth or runner. Felt is the prominent material across the collection, but cotton is often more practical.  Brighten it up with a multicoloured pom-pom garland or two draped across the centre of the table, and for a centrepiece with a difference opt for our felt bell tree.

The final element of your festive table is to invite your guests to dinner with comfy cushions. Prop our llama cushion against the backs of chairs to keep the theme strong in guests’ minds: it’s Lima Llama, and the party has only just begun.
