The Hanger Recycle Project

Recycle your unwanted John Lewis clothing hangers in any of our stores

Plastic hangers are fashion’s equivalent of the plastic straw – often used once and thrown away. We already recycle around six million hangers each year, but there is still more we can do. Which is why we’ve launched our new initiative to allow you to recycle your unwanted John Lewis clothing hangers in any of our stores. Those suitable for reuse are redistributed, the rest are broken down and made into new hangers. Currently we are only able to accept John Lewis hangers, but you can return as many as you wish.

For the latest information on recycling at John Lewis & Partners and Waitrose & Partners visit The John Lewis Partnership’s Corporate Responsibility page.
