Looking for a present with purpose? Fine art student Izaac has designed a NEW gifting range to raise donations – and awareness – to support care experienced people
Do you fancy yourself as the ultimate gifter for birthdays to anniversaries and beyond? Care-experienced fine art student Izaac has designed a new truly thoughtful lifestyle range for Made by Care – available online and in John Lewis and Waitrose stores.
The goal? To help make a real and lasting difference to the lives of young people who are care experienced.
How? Made By Care provides creative work experience for collaborators – from career coaching and workshops with Partners to creative design tutorials from ad agency Saatchi & Saatchi.
Plus, donations from sales of this second Made by Care range will contribute to building supportive communities for care experienced people* through the Building Happier Futures programme, which aims to help care experienced young people improve their employability potential. To date, the programme has generated more than £2m for charity.
Izaac’s story
Championed by the charity Become, Izaac applied to collaborate with the John Lewis Partnership and creative agency Saatchi & Saatchi. They then spent time working with the in-house design teams of both, including in a one-on-one workshop, to develop their unique designs.
How it works
Profits from each product sold will be donated to the Building Happier Futures fund, which is part of the John Lewis Partnership Foundation. All donations will contribute to building supportive communities for care experienced people, as well as towards helping families and carers create happy and secure homes.
As part of the Partnership’s long-term commitment to support care experienced young people through the Building Happier Futures programme, the collaborative design-led project will see more products launched in 2025 and beyond.
