Rum’s the word

Rum is definitely having a moment. Originally hailing from the Caribbean, this versatile spirit derived from sugar cane can instantly transport you to warmer climes. Mai tai, piña colada, daiquiri, mojito – rum-based cocktails are an exotic-sounding bunch that are just made for summer sipping. 
This is not the time to hold back – after all, rum inspired the technicoloured tiki movement with its cocktail parasols and hula skirts. So get plenty of ice at the ready, crack out the cocktail shaker and mix up a batch of your favourite fruity concoction. Glacé cherries and pineapple leaves are your go-to garnishes.
