How to apply (and remove) Exagger-Eyes mascara
- STEP 1 – No need for eyelash curlers! Hold the brush wand horizontally. Press the inner-curved side into the root if the lashes and pull upwards.
- STEP 2 – Use the outer-curved side and wiggle the bristles from side to side, base to tip, to lift & define.
- STEP 3 – Use the tip of the wand to coat the inner and outer corners and lower lash line for precise application.
- STEP 4 – Use an oil-based remover and cleansing pads, placing over closed eyes and holding down for 10 seconds. Swipe outwards to remove mascara.

The verdict: is Charlotte Tilbury Exagger-Eyes mascara worth it?
As a beauty editor, I’m forever asked, ‘What is the best mascara?’. So you can imagine how giddy I get with every new mascara launch – let alone a Charlotte Tilbury mascara launch…
How does Exagger-Eyes measure up against other mascaras? I can only speak for my eyelashes (longish but straight, fragile and somewhat straggly) and my eyes (increasingly deepset, erring on exhausted, so far, so 41).
In all honesty? I have been known to flirt with a mascara (or ten) in my time. But I always come back to my trusted two – one for a natural workday fanned-out flutter, and my one WOW wand, for BIG days.
Exagger-Eyes has both bases covered. At £28 (£16 for travel size) this is The One for mid-spenders who trust the value of a high-quality product, but also appreciate that mascaras have a six-month shelf life.
It’s The One for volume – and The One best for false-lash lift and curl. Sure, it’s not as easy to coat the lower lashes, but that’s true of any curved mascara wand.
