In a kitchen, where space is the ultimate luxury, this trio of appliances offer compact quality with no-compromise design
Full disclosure: describing my kitchen as tight on space would be somewhat generous, so I had vowed that until I got a more spacious set-up, I’d avoid getting any appliances that I deemed to be unnecessary. With the toaster, the kettle and even the air fryer all now permanent fixtures, the space-value ratio of anything else just didn’t seem worth it. But now Kenwood has changed the game with its award-winning Go Collection, and I stand corrected. Here’s why.
I started by testing the simplest of the trio: the humble hand mixer. On sight alone, you might not realise just how much thought and innovation has gone into the design, but as soon as you use it, you understand immediately. It’s seamless.
Ingredients mixed, the beaters release easily for cleaning thanks to Kenwood’s SureEject function. The all-in-one storage design keeps kitchen clutter at a minimum but, after packing away the beaters, kneaders, and measuring spoon in the portable carry case, I couldn’t bring myself to hide the fresh Eucalyptus Green accessory away in a drawer. It now sits proudly on my worktop.
When I showed off my new accessory to my mum, she said, “You’ll have that for life now. I’ve still got mine after all these years”. I think (as usual) she’s right.

Just like the hand mixer, design and performance are brought together seamlessly with the MultiPro Go Food Processor. While this piece of kitchen kit generally has a reputation for clunkiness, chunkiness and what can only be summed up as ‘a lot of faff’, this compact food processor shoves that outdated notion out the window; it’s the ultimate prep tool, and I wish I’d gotten one sooner.
Engineered to thrive in the smallest of kitchens, I was genuinely blown away by the speed and ease of every function. With a friend’s BBQ on the horizon, I had set my heart on making a pesto orzo salad from scratch. Spoiler: thanks to this compact champion, my friends were not disappointed.
Olives, tomatoes and cucumber were all thinly sliced in seconds and transferred straight into the dish via the Express Serve™ attachment. Next, the powerful 900W motor blitzed through the pesto ingredients with ease; the switch can be locked into a blitz mode or pulsed manually, and the pusher doubles up as a measuring cup, which is handy for adding extra ingredients as you go. The cleanup of the attachments was easy, too – they really did think of everything.
Contrary to my expectations and preconceptions of food processors, this one saves time, effort and can be tucked away with ease. With the capability to chop, slice, grate, purée and even knead, I can confirm this is my new hero kitchen appliance.

Last, but by no means least, the Go Stand Mixer. My first impression was purely superficial: in cool Eucalyptus Green, it looks effortlessly slick – like that friend who can run a half-marathon without shedding a drop of sweat.
Standing at under 30cm tall, it’s surprisingly light, but don’t let that fool you; this small but mighty appliance is more than just a portable piece of design. With 70 years’ worth of know-how poured into every feature – the easy-to-carry handle, front-facing dial and rotatable splashguard, to name a few – it’s capable of big bakes. I decided the best way to test this powerhouse out, having never baked any kind of bread before, was with a focaccia recipe. And, just like that, I am now a bread-baker extraordinaire.
Combining all the ingredients straight into the bowl, with a little help from the handy built-in measuring spoon, I set the dial to speed 2 and watched the magic happen. Perfectly kneaded dough emerged in just 10 minutes and, once baked, the results spoke for themselves; the focaccia was delicious and, in my opinion, that is down to this excellent mixer.
The head tilts back and clicks into a locked open position, the dough hook (and two other tools) attach and detach with ease, and all accessories are dishwasher safe, making the clean up a total breeze.
Powerful, space-saving and aesthetically pleasing, the Go Stand Mixer really is everything that it claims to be.

In short, yes. Particularly considering how compact each appliance is versus how easy and practical it is to use. I’m in love with the exclusive Eucalyptus Green colour; the nature-inspired hue brings a subtle modern aesthetic to my countertop. Each piece can be tucked away in a deep drawer or small cupboard and brought out with a flourish for everyday cooking moments. Each piece has earnt a place in my petite kitchen, for sure.
