PayPal is available only for transactions in GBP, and you can only use gift cards for international orders placed via the UK johnlewis.com site, but not via international domains.

Further information on international shopping

  • If you'd like to have items sent to separate addresses, please complete a separate order for each address. A separate delivery charge will be made for each address. 
  • In some but not all instances, the recipient will need to sign for an international delivery; this depends on the local carrier and value of the order. We'd advise you assume that someone needs to be in to receive the parcel.
  • Please note that the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland count as UK, not International delivery.
  • Sorry, we can't currently deliver website orders to BFPO addresses, but our Export department may be able to help - so do please contact them. Please note though that shipping costs charged by this service will be higher than the cost of the delivery service offered via the website.
  • Prices shown on our website include VAT due on the product
  • Our Never Knowingly Undersold price promise only applies to shopping in the UK and not internationally
  • Added Care purchase is only available for UK orders
  • my John Lewis membership is only available for UK shoppers

We deliver a wide range of home and fashion products internationally, but there are certain products which aren't eligible. These include electricals, beauty and large products such as furniture or sports equipment.

If you're moving abroad, or you'd like to send  a quantity of products normally excluded from our international service, you may like to use our export team. We’ve been shipping products around the world for over 40 years, and can export most things to more places.

returns

If you’ve changed your mind about keeping your purchase, please return it in its original condition with proof of purchase and we’ll exchange or refund it. Unless faulty, this should be within 35 days of receiving your order, and please note that you’ll need to bear postage costs. By original condition, we’d expect this to mean that you’ve kept packaging and labels, and that the item is undamaged and unused.

VAT AND CUSTOMS PAYMENTS

VAT

Under UK & EU VAT Law, VAT is due on all sales to private individuals where the goods will be taken or delivered to an address in the EU. UK VAT is not due where the goods go to a destination outside the EU. However, you are responsible for ensuring that when you take in the goods yourself, you declare them correctly on arrival into the country of destination and must pay any import taxes and duties at that time. These are not included in the price charged by John Lewis International.


CUSTOMS PAYMENTS

Products delivered to destinations outside the EU may be subject to taxes, fees, levies or other charges, which are imposed by local legislation. The recipient of the products is responsible for all customs formalities for their export and import, and will be required to pay any additional charges, including import duty, formal customs entry, taxes, levies and other charges.

The recipient of the goods, not the person who's ordered them, will receive a separate request for payment of these charges. In the USA and Canada, customers are sent a pre-delivery duty payment request, but in all other countries are required to pay local duties upon receipt of the order. If you're ordering products to be delivered to someone else, please make sure they're aware they'll be responsible for these additional charges.

As we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be, we’re sorry that unable to offer any assistance on these processes. We'd advise that you check the import charges applicable in any non-EU country before ordering products to be delivered there.
