Prams, Pushchairs & Car Seats guarantees
We will match the guarantee period offered by the manufacturer for all prams, pushchairs and car seats bought from us by the original purchaser/recipient. Our guarantee covers you against:
- Component failure of working mechanisms, where applicable
- Defects caused by manufacturing error
If your product develops a fault:
- Before you claim on the guarantee, look for any obvious reasons for the breakdown, and consult the manufacturer's handbook or website
- Our dedicated Nursery Travel Aftercare team can assist you with these conversations with most of our suppliers. If you would like to speak to them, please call 03456 100 398, Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm, and Saturday from 8am to 6:30pm.
- We recognise that these products are vitally important for your family routine, so we’ve ensured that the majority of our suppliers can offer an in-home pick up and drop off of your repaired product within 7 working days. Any spare parts you need can be delivered to you at home

Claiming on the guarantee:
- We can only proceed with your claim with proof of purchase.
- Please have your order number and date of purchase to hand when you call us (03456 100 398, Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm, and Saturday from 8am to 6:30pm).
- You'll find all this information on your original receipt – this acts as your guarantee, so please keep it safe.
- Your guarantee provides a repair service should the chassis of your product fail during the guarantee period
- We reserve the right to use alternative, similar materials, where the original is no longer available
- If fabric needs to be replaced due to a chassis repair, this may not be exactly the same as the original fabric, but we will try to find the closest available current fabric
- Any pram, pushchair or car seat bought in the UK but taken outside the UK to use, must be returned to the UK for repair. Neither John Lewis & Partners nor our suppliers will be liable for the cost of returning the product to the UK
- Within the guarantee period, if your product cannot be repaired, we will replace it with the same model or, if this is no longer available, substitute for a model of equivalent specification
Your guarantee won’t cover:
- Servicing, inspecting or cleaning of the product, or any fault that occurs as a result of failure to follow the manufacturer's instructions and/or assembly guidelines
- If you’ve bought a whole matching range and the other products in the range are still in full working order, then only the faulty item and its interchangeable accessories will be covered
- Any loss suffered as a result of not being able to use the product, or any loss over and above the purchase price of the original item
- Airline damage; claims should be made to the airline
- Accidental damage; you may find that this type of damage is covered by your household contents insurance policy
- Cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents, corrosion or colour, where the function of the product is unaffected
- Normal wear and tear (such as fabric, tyres and punctures)
- If the product has been used commercially or for business purposes
- Deliberate damage or neglect of the product
- Corrosion damage caused by misuse
- If the product is outside of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
- Modifying the product invalidates the guarantee
- If the product is in an unsanitary condition; we reserve the right to refuse to handle any product in an unsanitary state
