What is RAM?
RAM (Random Access Memory) is different to the permanent storage provided by hard disk drives (HDD), solid state drives (SSD) or memory cards in your equipment. RAM is used by your device to temporarily store data to carry out everyday operations. The more RAM your machine has, the faster you can expect it to open and run programs.

NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics processing unit will provide next-gen gaming performance, thanks to enhanced 2nd generation Ray Tracing Cores and 3rd generation Tensor Cores. You’ll be able to play all the latest titles without worrying about the settings, whilst providing enough grunt for you to enjoy smooth, quality VR experiences (VR headset sold separately). The GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is DirectX 12 Ultimate compatible.

DirectX 12 Ultimate
DirectX 12 Ultimate is the latest version of the API (written Q1 2021), and is able to take your games to a whole new level of realism, thanks to supporting ray tracing, mesh shaders, variable rate shading, and sampler feedback.

Connecting your other devices
The Ethernet and USB ports allow for fast data transfer, whilst the HDMI port enables the option for large screen presentations. The SD card slot offers a convenient way to upload your photos and videos.

Wireless communication
Built-in Wi-Fi makes it easy to connect the Dell XPS to the internet. Bluetooth will let you send files and folders wirelessly between Bluetooth devices, or even stream music to compatible speakers or headphones.
