Leading Danish designer Ebbe originally trained as a cabinet maker in Copenhagen, completing his apprenticeship with highest honours. He went on to study at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts' School of Design and to lecture at Edinburgh College of Art, before setting up Nissen & Gehl with Søren Nissen. The partners are committed to sustainability, and believe that "nothing is less ecological than a product with a short shelf-life".
