Free upgrade to Windows 11 when available (see below for details*). The HP Slim desktop PC has been created with a AMD Ryzen 3 processor, 8GB RAM and a 1TB hard drive, all to enable you to complete work assignments, send emails, stream shows and store large amounts of data.

AMD’s Ryzen 3 processor gives you enough speed to get browsing, emailing and even a spot of work.

The Ryzen 3 3250U processor in this model features 4MB of cache and 2 cores that can adjust their speed depending on the complexity of the task they are working on, from 2.60GHz to 3.50GHz.

What is RAM?
RAM (Random Access Memory) is different to the permanent storage provided by hard disk drives (HDD), solid state drives (SSD) or memory cards in your equipment. RAM is used by your device to temporarily store data to carry out everyday operations. The more RAM your machine has, the faster you can expect it to open and run programs.

A solid performer
Featuring 8GB of RAM, this computer has enough power for casual tasks like web browsing and word processing as well as more demanding jobs like complex spread sheets and image manipulation. You'll be able to run a healthy number of windows at once without any obvious lag or slowdown.

Super space
The 1TB hard disk drive (HDD) in this computer will provide plenty of storage for all your music and images – it’s a good choice for general use.

Connecting your other devices
USB and Ethernet ports allow for fast data transfer, whilst the HDMI port enables the option for large screen presentations (monitor sold separately). Additionally, Bluetooth can help to send data wirelessly between devices.

Screen beam
Miracast technology enables you to project your device’s screen onto your Miracast enabled television.

To enable Miracast functionality, press the Windows button + P (at the same time) on your keyboard and then click on ‘Connect to a wireless display’.

This is a great way to view pictures or websites on a larger screen, however please note: your videos might stutter or suffer with lag.
