Iittala Toikka Barn Owl Glass Bird

Individually hand-made and mouth-blown, this little glass bird is a beautiful treasure to nest in your home. Crafted by hand in the Iittala glass factory in Finland each bird is unique, much like their counterparts in nature.

The Birds by Toikka collection started in 1972, and each year since a new bird has been added to the range, with over four hundred now in the family. Collectors enjoy tracking them down as much as birdwatchers take pleasure in seeking out their real-life companions.

The vivid colours on this Barn Own come from the glass itself rather than paint, and filigree tape as been used to create the look of the bird's plumage.
