Do not place candle in a draught. Do not place candle near a source of heat. Always burn on a heat resistant surface. Trim wick to about 6mm before lighting. Do not burn candle below 5mm from the base. Always snuff out the flame. Do not blow it out. Keep the wax pool clear of matches and other debris to avoid flaring.
