Yep, you read that right. Riptape, not laces. Why? Well, if you've never had to bend over, tie up their laces, do a double knot to make sure they actually come home wearing both shoes, and then re-do it all because they're too tight — that's why. We've THOUGHTFULLY DESIGNED them so they can do it all themselves and develop a sense of independence.

They do feature locked-in elasticated laces, just to keep them looking presentable. And as a pair of kicks, these are pretty cool — definitely worthy of some playground praise. The tough leather upper means business and they're more than capable of handling a puddle or two.
