Ever since designer Coco Chanel introduced her bouclé tweed jacket back in the '50s, it's been a popular way to create texture in fashion fabric. The French word bouclé meaning 'curled' or 'ringed' refers to the yarn made from a series of looped fibres, just like with this teddy coat.
