The grillit is perfect for making quick, easy suppers and is ideal for searing meats, poultry, fish, patties, vegetables and even fruits with little or no fat, making it a healthier way to cook too. High ridges covering the entire base of the pan produce distinctive char lines making your food look incredibly appetising while draining away excess fat or grease. To cook well: oil the meat, fish or vegetables, not the grillit.

Cast iron benefits
The grillit is made of cast iron, a very efficient material at grilling thanks to its superior heat retention. Your food will seal very quickly with a delicious caramelized effect while locking in moisture, nutrients and flavours for succulent results. A quick test to check if the temperature of the grillit is ready for cooking: throw a little water on the surface; if it stays in the pan without evaporating, it’s not yet hot enough. Be careful of the cast iron handles heating up.

Le Creuset Cast Iron Care

Read the appropriate instructions that come with your item. Remove all packaging and labels. Wash the pan in hot, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly

Medium or low heat will provide the best results for cooking, even for frying and searing. Let the product heat up gradually for great tasting food that's cooked evenly. If you do need to use a higher heat, lower the setting once the desired heat has been reached

Le Creuset Silicone tools or wooden/heat resistant plastic tools are recommended

For best results, use appropriately sized ring for even cooking and to reduce risk of damage to product

Never drag your product across a glass surface. Always lift to move to prevent damage

When grilling, before adding any food or oil, take a few drops of water on your fingers and scatter over the hot surface. If they sizzle and evaporate almost immediately, it's hot and ready for use

Oven and grill safe up to 260°C. Allow a minimum distance of 6.5cm when grilling

Always use oven gloves when handling hot products

Allow product to cool before cleaning. If washed too quickly thermal shock may occur, resulting in cracking or loss of enamel
