We accept clean shirts, t-shirts, jumpers, cardigans, jackets, coats, shorts, trousers, jeans, childrenswear, dresses, jumpsuits, skirts and school uniforms.
We can’t accept underwear, lingerie, socks, tights, accessories, footwear, handbags, swimwear, baby vests, baby grows, towels, bedding and nightwear.
We’re working with Satcol, the largest charity-owned textiles sorting provider in the UK. At the sorting centre, they separate the textiles into 3 graded types:
A For onward selling in charity shops.
B For selling to secondary markets.
C If the textile is unwearable, then it will go through a textiles sorting machine which separates out the different types of textiles. These separated textiles can then be sold for repurposing into all kinds of products including pet bedding or carpet underlay. This market-leading machine limits the amount of textiles that end up in landfill.
Terms & Conditions
1. The FashionCycle offer entitles My John Lewis members to £5 off their next clothing or home purchase when they recycle a minimum of five clothing products from any brand (the "Used Exchange Products"). Excludes Tech products.
2. My John Lewis members must spend a minimum of £20 (following the application of any applicable discount or offer) on clothing or home products to qualify for this offer.
3. £5 off must be redeemed at the point of exchange.
4. The offer is redeemable once per visit, per day and only one offer can be used for each transaction of £20 or more at any John Lewis & Partners shop. This offer is not redeemable over the telephone, online or via our app.
5. Customers must present their My John Lewis card to be scanned in any of the following ways; (i) presenting their physical My John Lewis card at the till, (ii) presenting their My John Lewis card in digital wallet at the till; or (iii) presenting their My John Lewis card in the John Lewis App at the till.
6. The offer is only redeemable at menswear, womenswear and childrenswear tills in John Lewis stores, however will be available at home tills in all John Lewis at home stores.
7. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
8. The offer value will be apportioned against applicable items. The value of the offer will be deducted from any refund received by the customer.
9. No cash alternatives will be available.
10. The Used Exchange Products must be empty, clean and not torn.
11. Please note that all Used Exchange Products will be separated into 3 grade types:
A) for onward selling in charity shops.

12. The following items can be accepted in connection with this offer: shirts, t-shirts, jumpers, cardigans, jackets, coats, shorts, trousers, jeans, childrenswear, school uniforms (non-branded and unlabelled), dresses, jumpsuits and skirts. Please note that products purchased outside of John Lewis are still applicable with this offer.
13. The following exclusions shall apply and the offer cannot be redeemed on:
(i) Made to measure orders.
(ii) Items purchased using John Lewis Payment Plans, including Interest Free Credit or Interest Bearing Credit.
(iii) We cannot accept the following items: underwear, lingerie, socks, tights, accessories, footwear, handbags, swimwear, baby vests, baby grows, towels, bedding and nightwear.
14.Any spend threshold will be assessed after any other discount has been applied to the basket. This includes Partner discount applied to your order if applicable.
15. John Lewis & Partners reserves the right to remove this offer at any time.
