At Home Services
Keeping everyone safe
While our shops have been closed and our services have been paused, we have been working on plans to safely re-open our services in our customer's homes. Using government guidance we have created risk assessments and introduced extensive cleaning and hygiene routines, social distancing guidelines and introduced various items of PPE; all of which enable us to operate our At Home Services safely.
Our key focus is on keeping everyone safe.
The information below outlines what booking or ordering an At Home Service will look and feel like.
On the day of your appointment you will receive a pre call from the individual/team who will deliver the service that day. They will share an approximate arrival time, confirm they are well and that you and everyone in your household continue to be well and are happy for the appointment to go ahead.
When the team member arrives they will knock on the door, ring the doorbell and step back at least 2 metres. You’ll notice that they’ll be wearing PPE and before they enter your home they will have used hand sanitiser and applied a fresh pair of disposable gloves, or cleaned their specialist work gloves. They will also have cleaned the touchpoints on and in their vehicle, along with any tools used in previous customers’ homes.
When they step into your home they will touch as few surfaces as possible and will take all breaks and refreshments outside, or in their vehicle. They will bring tissues with them to catch any sneezes and have rubbish bags to remove any rubbish created on the day. Any paperwork which is required following the appointment will be emailed to you.
When we are in your home we ask that you leave a few seconds before answering your door to enable our team to step back. Stay in another room while the works are being carried out and when in conversation with the team remain 2 metres apart. Where possible please leave all internal doors open and windows open in the room in which the works are happening. This will reduce the number of surfaces needing to be touched.
Consider wearing a face covering if it is safe for you to do so.
We hope this information offers reassurance. We recognise that this could feel strange as we all get used to working with social distancing measures, but our aim is that this doesn't get in the way of a great customer experience. If you have invited us into your home to carry out one of our Home Services, we will call you in advance to discuss our precautions and will happily answer any questions you may have.
