Product description

Product code: 41981014

This solar-powered chronograph timepiece is from the Prospex Speedtimer watch collection which represents Seiko’s professional timekeeping heritage.

In the 1960s, Seiko announced itself on the international sports timing stage with a whole new generation of high-precision equipment endorsed by international sports federations at many of the world's leading sports events. The glass-blue colour and sunray pattern of the dial are designed to represent the crystal trophy awarded to athletes in high-profile competitions.

It is designed with the same size specifications as the most popular Prospex Speedtimers: 41.4mm. The sapphire crystal glass has strong scratch resistance as well as an anti-reflective coating on its inner surface. As a Prospex Speedtimer, this piece has a chronograph functionality, allowing it to measure elapsed time, as well as the time of day.

It is powered by the in-house Solar V192 calibre and can be charged from both natural and artificial light conditions to maintain an accuracy of +/- 15 seconds per month. It has a useful power reserve indicator at 7 o'clock.

Prospex is a combination of the words ‘Professional’ and ‘Specifications.’ Seiko Prospex timepieces are designed to be practical, reliable and durable; to meet the high standards required in extreme environments for sports lovers and adventure seekers alike.

DEDICATED TO PERFECTION The story of Seiko began in 1881, when a 22 year old Entrepreneur, Kintaro Hattori, opened a shop selling clocks in central Tokyo. Just eleven years later, in 1892, he established the ‘Seikosha’ factory and built its first clock, and in 1895, its first pocket watch. Today, after 135 years of innovation, Kintaro Hattori’s company is still dedicated to the perfection that the founder always strove to achieve.
