The Ordinary range of Mineral UV Filters formulas offer SPF protection with the additional benefits of protecting the skin against environmental stressors and offering hydration support.

The Mineral UV Filter formulas avoid the use of any nanoparticles. Instead, a refined dispersion of micronised ZnO and TiO2 in flexible, high-volatility, non-comedogenic silicones allows the formulas to optimise the amount of blocking agents utilised. In addition to reflecting and/or refracting light, ZnO is also able to absorb UV rays without creating oxygen radicals.

The supporting TiO2 present within the formula is only in rutile form. No anatase form of TiO2 is used at all due to its capacity to induce oxidative stress.
