Featuring trailing leaves and branches, the design on this cushion was inspired by a length of embroidered muslin (chikankari) housed in the V&A's Asia collection. It is most likely from Dhaka, Bangladesh, and dates back to about 1855-79. Printed on soft cotton velvet.
