BeSafe’s iZi Combi X4 ISOfix ultra-safe car seat is easy to install. Its front brace system uses mechanical strength to ensure a firm installation, and doesn’t rely on arm strength.
It’s also a 'combination' car seat lets your child sit facing rearwards until they’re 4 years-old, the age recommended as a safe sitting position. In the event of an accident, sitting rearwards helps to spread the impact evenly across the body which reduces strain on the back and neck. The BeSafe iZi seat then allow children to sit forward facing as well, only when the time is right.
The seat is made from ‘sandwich’ construction, consisting of a reinforced plastic shell with a 40mm soft shell inside. It has a double-layer side-impact protection and a body-hugging internal cushion for smaller children.
The 5-point harness has central and height adjustment, while magnetic connectors hold the harness open for easy access. The seat can also be reclined into 3 different sitting positions, while the extending ISOfix arms let you make the seat compact or give it more leg room. And, for convenience, the cover can be removed and washed using a 40°C wool programme.
Safety:
- Under no circumstances should a car seat be used on a passenger seat where there is an active airbag.
- Correct fitting of all car seats and boosters is of paramount importance to make them most effective in the event of an accident. Not all car seats fit all cars and it is important to check for fitting suitability on all cars you intend fitting the seat to, as well as re-checking if you change your car.
- Always read the instruction booklet which comes with your car seat to achieve a safe and correct fitting, retaining the guide for future reference. We recommend fitting your car seat in advance of first using it.
- We recommend that babies shouldn`t be left in Group 0/0+ car seats (infant carriers) for prolonged periods.
