Lightning-fast autofocus
Dual Pixel CMOS AF II features 5940 selectable AF points covering virtually 100% of the frame. So fast-moving subjects are always kept super-sharp. It’s programmed using deep-learning AI that recognises faces and eyes, even viewed from the side. Perfect for capturing moving people and even animals with rapid-reaction accuracy.

8K Ultra High Definition
Enjoy formidable filmmaking capabilities with its full-frame sensor for true cinematic style. Capture 12-bit RAW video internally at 8K, or shoot in 4K at up to 120p frame rates for stunning slow-motion sequences. The autofocus power of the R5 keeps things sharp and allows for impressive pull-focus transitions.

RF Lens Mount
Its pioneering lens mount places the high performance optics of Canon's RF range of lenses at optimum distance from a full-frame sensor for a step forward in creative photography. It can be used with existing EF-S (with a cropped area) and EF lenses with no loss of performance, when attached to the Mount Adapter EF-EOS R (not included).

High Resolution Viewfinder
Shoot with the exceptionally clear 5.76 million dot EVF, relating approx. 100% of the scene, for a traditional shooting stance.

Vari-angle Touch Screen
