The Derwent mills are the epitome of Cole & Mason style and elegance. Contemporary in design, they are made from clear acrylic and stainless steel. Featuring the Cole & Mason Gourmet Precision mechanisms, carbon steel for pepper that strips peppercorns instead of crushing them, and diamond-sharp ceramic for salt, ensuring maximum flavour release from every turn.
The hardwearing qualities of these mechanisms ensure you will always receive a consistently outstanding performance. With six pre-selected grind settings for pepper and three for salt, ranging from fine to coarse you will always find the best grind size to optimise the flavour of every meal.
When you do need to refill, simply pull off the stainless steel top cap. The wide neck of the acrylic body makes refilling easy and mess-free. Fill up with your favourite whole peppercorns and coarse salt, replace the top and continue to enjoy expertly seasoned dishes. To clean, wipe with a damp cloth and use a clean cloth to dry. We recommend you do not use any cleaning products as this can affect the finish of the product. Do not immerse in water or place in a dishwasher.

Freshly ground salt and pepper delivers a more intense and true flavour and enhances the taste of food. A fine grind gives an even flavour and is perfect for sauces, while a coarse grind is ideal for marinades or steaks. Below are a few options to consider when choosing your salt or pepper mill.

Brand information
Although founded earlier, Cole & Mason produced their first salt and pepper mill in 1946. The company produced the world's first acrylic pepper mill in the 1970s and now produces a wide range of products that put flavour and seasoning into food, including pestles and mortars, oil pourers and herb and spice racks.
