From drag queens and DJs to glitter face painting and rainbow recipes from Waitrose, we’re celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community throughout Pride 2024, and you can too

At John Lewis, we take pride in being a long-standing supporter of the LGTBQIA+ community, 365 days of the year.

The Partnership was founded with the principles of humanity and equality for all at its heart and our LGBTQIA+ Network, Pride in the Partnership, is an active community with over 750 members. We’re passionate about making sure all our queer colleagues and allies feel visible, respected and supported at all times.

This Pride Month we’re supporting the community with in-store events and at local parades, because we know we’re at our best when we’re free to be ourselves. Let’s be proud, together.

We love Pride-inspired gifts and treats, especially former Bake Off winner and Strictly superstar John Whaite's bold and bright rainbow cake recipe.

The star has previously spoken about how honoured he feels to celebrate Pride, saying, "Pride is a deeply important period for me, along with so many members of the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies.

“This cake is a colourful celebration of the beautiful diversity in the world, and it also serves as a crucial reminder of the queer folk throughout history, who suffered at the hands of others because of their sexuality. It is a reminder that our new-found liberty must be protected at all costs."
