UK weather being what it is, you need a whatever-the-weather coverup in your life – and these are the three big jacket trends for spring/summer
The art of transitional dressing is all about finding pieces that work for those in-between moments. Hone in on lightweight layers that can be worn with sweatshirts for now and a cotton T-shirt in a few weeks (we hope).
Without further ado: three styles to see you from spring to summer and into those first days of autumn.
1. A mac
If there was a coat built for our forever-changing weather, it’s the mac. Light, showerproof and perfect with pretty much anything, layer this over all your spring staples and be ready for anything.
2. A shacket
The perfect hybrid of a jacket and shirt? A shacket, of course, often called a fisherman jacket or just an overshirt. This is a failsafe piece that will take you from day to night, from work to weekend and look genuinely good with a myriad of different outfit options.
3. A chore jacket
Also known as a workwear jacket. We love it in its recognisable bright blue hue but if that’s a bit too bold for you, just go darker or plump for classic tan.
