John Lewis Squash Ribbed Ceramic Table Lamp, Damson

No one spends more time browsing on the John Lewis app than our team of shopping-addicted fashion and lifestyle journalists. So what will they be checking out come payday?
We moved into our Ugly Home™ era two years ago with grand plans. Turns out, said plans cost a few too many grand(s) so instead I’ve pivoted into interior styling, investing in character-packed pieces to transform our space, without breaking the bank. My quick wins? Endless licks of paint, luxury throws, statement seating and a LOT of lamps – all in opulent shades of clay, olive, ochre and damson – and I cannot stop thinking about these homeware finds:
I’m also on a mission to complete Gossip Girl (I know, how 2007 of me) – it’s part nostalgia, part escapism, but mainly, well, fashion. While the OG GGs (Blair and Serena VDW) still give great style, this time around I’ve found myself lusting after Lily van der Woodsen’s looks – a first take on quiet luxury, all stretch hairbands and camel coat ‘shrobing’ – way before Gwyneth Paltrow (and Theresa May) did it. Throw in my sudden shopping urges for ‘It’ knits and disco skirts and it’s fair to say I’ve gone full XOX-tra for autumn/winter.
Here’s the rub: winter is coming – and with it a whole slew of new skincare solutions. I plan to cocoon myself the minute the mercury drops, slathering on comforting cleansers, nourishing night creams, body balms and barrier boosters – all designed to calm, soothe and improve winter-ravaged skin. Throw in a glow-giving serum (for when your skin feels anything but) and that’s winter skincare, won.
