To celebrate the collaboration between Made and John Lewis, Ali shares her favourite pieces for bringing a vibrant, creative energy to every corner of your home.
1. JUDE BOUCLE IVORY CHAIR
'A chair made from pillows – who could ask for more in terms of being snug? I love being able to curl up in this one, on its super chunky solid wood legs.'
2. MAXTON ARMCHAIR, CINNAMON VELVET
‘A true statement design with solid timber legs, finished in the "must-have" colour of the moment – cinnamon velvet. What a combo.’
3. SET OF 2 PARKER DINING CHAIRS IN JADE GREEN
‘The cantilever design gives the chairs a slight bounce, making them super comfy for relaxed meals that last for many hours. Retro pieces are having a real comeback at the moment, and the contrasting jade-green piping and chrome legs nod to this. Ideal for kitchens or your open-plan spaces.’
4. MADELYN ceiling light in black
‘What Made does well is playing with archetypes to add its own twist. This is a take on the classic shade-style chandelier light – the curved/wiggly arms with contrasting, well-proportioned shades give it the character a piece of statement lighting needs.’
5. PIPER table in chrome
‘This table is perfectly on point for the great chrome comeback. Its super-simple bent metal base plus milky glass top oozes retro vibes, but with our modern styling.’
7. Romy bed in green
‘How to make the four-poster bed feel less classic? Colour-drench the fabric upholstery and the metal frame in the same lovely green tone to make a modern statement.’
8. Eden sideboard
'We’re always looking at how we can evolve traditional furniture that has become a mainstay in our homes. With this piece I think we’ve given woven furniture a whole new lease of life; a deconstructed check pattern, woven in multiple colours, lends this ‘traditional technique’ the Made twist.'
