John Lewis: Our Future Classics
These products will still be on our wish list in 100 years’ time
At John Lewis, with over a century of heritage behind us, we’ve developed a deep appreciation for what makes a product truly timeless. Our experience has taught us that quality craftsmanship, enduring design and a meaningful connection to everyday life are the hallmarks of future classics.
Throughout our history, we’ve seen our fair share of classics that have stood the test of time and we’ve been proud to champion them from the start: we were one of the first retailers to sell women’s stockings in 1937, we launched the toaster and kettle in 1925 and the TV set in 1950.
Products like these earn their place in homes and hearts because they combine function with form in a way that never feels dated. So, to celebrate 100 years of knowing you, we’ve curated a selection of current products we think will resonate with you for generations to come.
These future icons are shaped by tradition, but ready for tomorrow’s world.
