iCandy Pip Pushchair

Can the new colourway live up to the hype? It’s a firm yes.
I’m a mum-of-three, with two boys aged 6 and 3, plus my 7 month old daughter, so our pushchair gets a lot of use. My week usually consists of long, slow maternity walks whilst Hallie is sleeping, exploring big parks with the kids and the daily school run so the pram racks up a lot of mileage.
At this stage, I know exactly what I need from a buggy. It has to be lightweight because we are always on the go, compact enough to easily fit in the car which is where we store it, have a decent sized basket underneath (essential with a toddler in tow when I’m carrying a million things), and most importantly, comfortable for my baby.
So, spoiler alert, I absolutely love this pram and so does Hallie. It genuinely feels like iCandy have taken all the little frustrations you find with other pushchairs and solved them.
It’s a luxurious and versatile pushchair suitable for your little one from birth to 25kg. iCandy has combined premium design, comfort and future-ready functionality and created a bundle that includes all the accessories you need, come rain or shine.
The Peach 8 has a collapsible, highly ventilated carrycot (over double the airflow compared to Peach 7) approved by The Lullaby Trust for permanent overnight sleeping, enhanced suspension, single-to-double or twin conversion, one-handed fold and recline, integrated Ride-on Board, 10kg basket and iCandy MiStand compatibility - literally what more could you want.
There’s even an extended canopy cover which is ideal for nap times or sunny days, and the flip-flop-friendly brake has a colour indicator so you can see you're parked up safely.
Peach 8 is also car seat compatible, including the iCandy Cocoon 360, so it can be turned into a travel system for easy transfers in and out of the car.
Firstly, visually it’s gorgeous. The chocolate brown shade feels very modern and on trend, it’s definitely not a colour you would have seen when I first had my eldest, and I love how sleek and stylish it looks whilst still being really practical. It also hides marks and everyday mess far better than lighter fabrics, which is a big bonus with small children!
The footmuff / pramsuit is honestly one of the nicest I’ve seen. It has a super soft faux fur feel inside, and looks incredible cosy. I know that Hallie will be super warm in there when it’s chilly.
One thing I’ve particularly appreciated is the seat recline and positioning options. I love the fact it has a number of different height settings for Hallie to sit up - she’s at that in between stage where she’s learning to sit so I really appreciate the fact I’m not limited to 3 options which I’ve always experienced before. It makes it so much easier to adjust depending on whether she wants to look around or relax.
Despite looking sturdy and substantial, it’s surprisingly lightweight and easy to push. It feels fairly effortless to manoeuvre, which is great when I’m doing busy school runs with three kids. The basket underneath is really large, big enough for all the bags, coats and snacks we inevitably carry around, and the integrated Ride on Board is perfect for my 3-year-old to sit on for the walk home from the school runs when his legs are tired!
There are also lots of thoughtful details too, like the bumper bar for Hallie to hold on to, and to attach toys. The hood I particularly find brilliant, as it pulls down really far which makes such a difference on sunny days as it actually provides proper shade, which the previous buggy’s I had really struggled to do.
Honestly, once you’ve worked out where everything is and how it all adjusts, it’s a really easy pram to use day-to-day. Everything feels intuitive and well thought out rather than overly complicated.
Setting the pram up was really straightforward. My husband helped put it together and simply followed the instructions, which were really clear and easy to follow, we had no issues at all.
In terms of anything difficult, the only accessory I haven’t used much is the parasol. It felt a little flimsy while attaching it, although to be fair I’ve found that with most parasols I’ve tried over the years, so I don’t think that’s unique to this one.
While pushchairs are definitely an investment, I do think this one feels worth the money considering how much use you get out of it. It’s something you use every single day, for at least the first year and usually much longer, so for us, having something practical, comfortable and easy to use makes a huge difference. I’d give it a big five stars.
