Sexy. Reliable. Long-lasting. If I could marry MYSLF, I would

What is it?

The latest scent from fashion house and verified trend tastemakers Saint Laurent (YSL to friends), MYSLF is said to capture ‘the scent of modern masculinity – strong, proud, free, nuanced, raw, expressive, emotional. MYSLF no matter what.’

Dressed in black lacquer, with the YSL Cassandre logo sculpted directly onto the glass, MYSLF is YSL bottled – sleek, timeless and expertly crafted; a pillar for quiet, understated luxury, no matter how cluttered your beauty cabinet.

This is the kind of simple, luxurious design that draws you in by revealing layers upon layers of subtle detailing

What makes MYSLF special?

While it is, in theory, a ‘masculine’ fragrance, MYSLF has undeniable mass appeal. IMHO (as a woman), the patchouli/orange mix makes it a particularly sexy scent for men – and one I would 100% wear too if/when my OH isn’t looking.

MYSLF is seasonless and suits-all-occasions, genderless, and yet feels genuine – an exquisitely simple scent designed to delight and uplift, without unnecessary fuss or fanfare. And it’s refillable.

If you’re looking for a great gift (guaranteed) for Christmas, birthdays or ‘just because’ paydays, MYSLF is The One.

The verdict

MYSLF is – without doubt – this season’s standout scent. This is the best of men’s fragrance (with a soft spot), a worthy contender for the best perfume of 2023 and, dare I say it, a forever fragrance to stand tall among the likes of Tom Ford and Le Labo.

So what does it smell like?

Each of us has our own individual sense of smell, triggering emotional responses that are beautifully unique to us and us alone. How a perfume smells depends entirely on your own personal skin chemistry. But what I can say is this…

If you like patchouli fragrances and a warm, woody scent, you’ll LOVE this. On first impressions, MYSLF is sexy, powerful, fresh, citrusy and somehow smooth, but as it dried onto my skin, it developed a soft, woody trail. Worn on my inner wrists, behind my knees, on earlobes and at the base of my neck, I’d say the scent lasted a good five to six hours.

MYSLF is like a pep talk in perfume form. Yours for a jolt of extra Monday morning motivation, when you’re longing for focus, or worn on days when you’re feeling yourself and nothing can stop you!

This is one of those rare scents that boasts broad appeal: a seductive, universally adored perfume for all, simple yet complex (who isn’t, babez), masculine, sure – but unashamedly MYSLF, no matter what.
