Molecule 01 + Iris consists of Iso E Super + Iris. Iso E Super is an abstract synthetic molecule characterised as a cedarwood note with a warm, velvety cocooning sensation. Iris is a natural extract from the root of several varieties of iris.
M+ Iris, spring-fresh, sober and ephemeral. The robust routines of orris dances with the magnetic versatility of the molecule that started it all. Molecule 01 + Iris is the romance between iris absolue and Iso E Super. In this duo, the seductive quality of Iso E Super plays beautifully against the elegance of the iris. To add anything more would be to take away from their interplay. M+ Iris's beauty is shown through its simplicity as well as its complexity. It's not easy to describe iris' smell as such, but if you smell a fragrance without it and then with it, you understand immediately what it does. It adds a creamy powderiness, and it brings a physical dimension to a fragrance.
"I have had a long-standing love affair with iris. Every Escentric fragrance has an iris note somewhere in there. To me, iris is luxury. The iris pallida absolue I've used here is one of the most expensive ingredients in perfumery. You can find iris extracts for way less than that. But they do not have the great and subtle beauty of this absolue. It's radical to put this much in a fragrance. The sillage is fantastic. This is a bomb, but a subtle bomb," says Geza Schoen.
