John Lewis Manteco Wool Blend Maxi Check Coat, Multi

This coat has been produced in a long-hair circular fabric made by Manteco®, an Italian leader in high-quality textiles and wool circularity since 1943. This fabric features a long, directional nap with a soft, fleecy hand. The back side is lightly brushed to enhance skin contact comfort. It has a single twill weave structure, which remains invisible due to the dense hairy surface. It is made of MWool®, the next generation of recycled wool by Manteco®, crafted by recycling post-consumer garments and pre-consumer materials through a mechanical process; and its color is created through the Recype® process, which uses no added dyes or chemicals, further enhancing its eco-friendly profile. Compared to generic virgin wool fibers, MWool® saves 99.2% of CO2 emissions, 99.9% of water and 93.3% of energy, as measured and proven by a Life Cycle Assessment, an Academic Paper on MDPI Resources, and the international EPD® certification.
