It’s up to you to choose the effect you want: plain, marbled or terrazzo. Les Épicières offer three designs for small bowls – choose your favourite: a trinket dish, an avocado sprouting bowl or a small vase.
Jesmonite is a material used to make decorative objects. It consists of two main ingredients: a water-based acrylic liquid and a mineral base made from gypsum (also known as plaster of Paris). To prepare the mixture you’ll need to create your objects, you must mix the liquid and the mineral base together in the specified proportions. Once thoroughly mixed, the mixture should resemble a thick paste that is easy to pour.
Jesmonite allows you to produce sturdy items through moulding. Ideal for creating outdoor decorative items (columns, statues, flower pots, etc.), this material is also suitable for making smaller objects. Using silicone or polystyrene moulds, you can easily create soap dishes, storage boxes, coasters or even paperweights.
