- Before the first use, place the soother in boiling water for 5 minutes. Allow to cool and squeeze out any trapped water that may have entered the teat. This is to ensure appropriate hygiene. Clean the soother before each use. The soother can be sterilised by the following methods; steam sterilising (electric or microwave), immersing in a liquid sterilising solution - all according to manufacturer’s instructions, or boiling in water for at least 5 minutes.
