Premium, whole cut formal shoe from an artisan factory in Italy. A whole cut uses one large piece of leather from the prime cut of the hide. For detail, ‘aircord’ seams have been added across the toe, by the facings and around the back counter. Cord is sewn into the upper before lasting – the heat then shrinks the leather over the cord to leave a beautifully smooth raised seam.
The calf leather is finished with layer after layer of dye, applied by hand to create a real depth of colour, and then meticulously polished and antique finished, again, by hand. The upper has a piped topline and is fully lined in calf leather. A slightly squared last complements the clean styling, the upper is Blake stitched to a leather sole with a closed channel to conceal the stitch.
