Car seat demonstration service

When travelling by car, it’s the law that every child under 135cm, or under 12 years old, whichever comes first, must have their own car seat. You’ll need to use the correct car seat for your child and your vehicle, as well as making sure the seat is correctly installed.

We recommend using our demonstration service for each car seat stage, whether that’s for a first car seat – so you’re ready to take your baby home from the hospital – or for a highback booster car seat when your child gets bigger.

Our Nursery experts can demonstrate how to fit a car seat in your car. This service will give you the knowledge and confidence to fit the seat yourself. Please bring your vehicle handbook when attending the appointment. If you don’t have one, make a note of the vehicle's make and model, including year of manufacture. We’d also recommend making a note of any other vehicles that the car seat might be used in.

All our experts receive regular training to make sure they have up-to-date product knowledge and understand the strict safety laws that must be followed.

The demonstration service will cover these steps:

Our Nursery expert will ask you a few questions to identify your exact needs
They’ll advise you on the most suitable car seats for you, your child and vehicle
They’ll demonstrate how to use each car seat and the differences between them, so you can make an informed decision
They’ll also advise on safety, how to use it and adjust it when needed
All of our branches have demo rigs so we can demonstrate fitting the car seat. Many of our branches also have access to a car park and we can offer a demonstration in your car if preferred
