Mandolines are extremely handy for making salads, apple tarts or potato dauphinoise - anything that requires evenly and thinly sliced ingredients, a task that's time-consuming with a knife. This handheld option is ideal for those short on storage space, or if you'd rather not use a larger freestanding model.
Use the soft-touch knob to set your desired slicing thickness, then slide the food over the blade for perfectly consistent slices. Use it over a chopping board or plate, or hook the soft foot over a bowl. Choose from 1mm, 2.5mm and 4mm thicknesses. Then secure the food to the holder and slide over the stainless steel blade for perfect, even slices. The clear surface shows slices accumulating below.
Always use the provided food holder to protect your fingers when using the mandoline. Since your fingers will never come into contact with the blade, you can slice the whole vegetable, cutting down on food waste. This can also be used to protect the blade when it's not in use.
